Through the Foundations of Servant Leadership course I learned what it means to be a faithful leader in my workplace, community, and church. The course facilitators brought to the classroom diverse perspectives of leadership from different backgrounds and world-views and a breadth of experience. The course created a safe space for me to discover my own leadership style. It taught me how to select the right people to be on my team and how to encourage, empower, affirm, and be faithful to team members in order to achieve a goal. It gave me practical skills to steer my project in the right direction. The course was helpful in providing solutions to conflict resolution and the importance of upholding a level of integrity in our life and work. Finally, the course helped me to gain a “Kingdom” perspective in my leadership and how to lead others in a way that Christ leads us. – Olvie
